The First (President)
Art. 1.Nature of the Office

The First (President) is the principal executive office and institutional representative of La Asociación Ñeta. His/her function consists of coordinating, executing, and guaranteeing the fulfillment of collective decisions adopted by the governing body and by the democratic mechanisms established in the statutes.

The President is not an absolute authority or owner of the organization, but a mandate of the collective will.

Art. 2.Purpose of the Office

The office of The First (President) has the purpose of:

  • a) Directing the execution of agreements approved by the governing body.
  • b) Representing the Asociación Ñeta institutionally and legally.
  • c) Guaranteeing the orderly, efficient, and coherent functioning of the organization.
  • d) Protecting the mission, principles, and objectives of the Association above personal or particular interests.
Art. 3.General Functions

It corresponds to The First (President):

  • a) Convoking and presiding over the meetings of the governing body.
  • b) Executing and supervising the fulfillment of approved agreements.
  • c) Officially representing the Asociación Ñeta before external entities, public or private.
  • d) Coordinating the work of the other executive officers.
  • e) Proposing plans, projects, and lines of action to the governing body for evaluation and approval.
  • f) Signing official documents, contracts, and institutional communications in accordance with the statutes.
Art. 4.Function of Coordination and Leadership

The First (President) shall exercise leadership oriented to:

  • a) Facilitating collective participation and democratic debate.
  • b) Promoting organizational unity without nullifying the diversity of criteria.
  • c) Guaranteeing that decision-making processes are orderly, transparent, and respectful.
  • d) Avoiding authoritarian, personalist, or arbitrary practices.

The leadership of the President is based on responsibility, coherence, and service, not on imposition.

Art. 5.Function of Representation

The First (President) shall act as the institutional representative of the Asociación Ñeta, and must:

  • a) Faithfully express the positions agreed upon by the governing body.
  • b) Refrain from assuming external commitments without proper authorization.
  • c) Safeguard the image, legitimacy, and public credibility of the Association.
Art. 6.Limits of the Office

The First (President) may not:

  • a) Take unilateral decisions on strategic matters without approval from the governing body.
  • b) Use his/her office for personal, economic, or political benefit.
  • c) Suppress, ignore, or discredit legitimate internal dissent.
  • d) Unduly interfere in the functions of oversight and deliberation of the Vocals or other officers.
  • e) Act above the statutes, regulations, and approved agreements.

The President is subject to control and accountability.

Art. 7.Accountability

The First (President) must:

  • a) Periodically inform the governing body about his/her management.
  • b) Render clear and verifiable accounts on the actions executed.
  • c) Respond to requests for information formulated in accordance with the statutes.
Art. 8.Relationship with Other Offices

The First (President):

  • a) Coordinates the work of the Second (Vice President), Advisor, Secretary, and Treasurer.
  • b) Is not above the governing body, but integrated into it.
  • c) Must respect the functional autonomy of each office.
  • d) Is subject to the same regime of deliberation and voting as the other members.
Art. 9.Principles of Action

The exercise of the office of The First (President) shall be governed by the following principles:

  • a) Service to the organization.
  • b) Collective responsibility.
  • c) Transparency.
  • d) Respect for dissent.
  • e) Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of La Asociación Ñeta.
Art. 10.Institutional Importance

The office of The First (President) is fundamental for the coordination and projection of the Asociación Ñeta. However, its legitimacy depends on respect for statutory limits, democratic control, and the collective will.

A President who acts without control weakens the organization; one who acts with responsibility strengthens it.
